THE BAND

ETIENNE MULLER

vocalist/writer

Etienne grew up along the coast of South Africa.

His passion for music showed at a very young age, so he learned piano and began gravitating towards Synth and electronic music.

Within a few years Etienne was living in London, submerging himself in the electronic music scene and creating musical ideas out of the vast number of styles he encountered.

Once back in South Africa, he started a band that received heavy airplay on major South African radio stations.

Etienne now lives in Los Angeles.

OUR STORY

as told by the band

NH:
I downloaded a track written by Etienne and thought it was good, so I messaged him over facebook and we realized we had the same sense of humor, we were obsessive about synthpop, we both looked good in solid colors,

EM:

That was the clincher.

NH:

So we knew we had to work together.

EM:

That's our story.

NH:

Yes, it's a fascinating story and would make for a great movie. But we're making very catchy music. It's unique, it's a clubby modern synthwave, synthpop, 80s sound,

EM:

It's music for people who love Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode.

NH:

And also for people who don't love Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode.

EM:

Music for the Masses.

NH:

Ha ha.

NATHAN HEINZE

producer/writer

Unlike Etienne, Nathan did not grow up along the coast of South Africa.

However, like Etienne, he developed a passion for music at a young age. Classical, pop, new age, Rammstein, electronica, and house.

At a slightly older age Nathan began writing and mixing music, and at an even slightly older age than that, he moved to Miami to DJ and began remixing, writing and producing for various artists such as Sterling Void, West End Girls, Kids on Bridges, Milan, Vbutterfly, KooLTURE, and  Kevin Donaldson.

Along with Amerikaans, Nathan is working on his debut single for DJ International Records and is slated to remix a number of DJI's house classics.
